In 2016, Qingdao has released social security fund targeted poverty alleviation policy to offer basic endowment and medical insurance to over 50,000 registered poor rural people, and enhanced pension for retried workers for the 12th consecutive year, 763,000 people were benefited with CNY 189 added for each one. The pension for all retired company employees reached CNY 24.86 billion, up by 11% year-on-year. The city also constantly lifts basic endowment insurance for residents; it reaches CNY 150 per person per month, the highest in the province. 990,000 urban and rural residents are benefited. CNY 2.78 billion endowment insurance was given out in 2016, increasing by 4.9% year-on-year. Meanwhile, the subsidy of resident severe disease insurance has constantly enhanced. Subsidy for each worker suffering injury reached to nearly CNY 200 per person per month. Maternity insurance eliminates all medical cost for planned medical treatment. Jobless insurance increased to CNY 1,000 per person per month.

????According to the statistics, in 2016, the municipal medical insurance fund paid CNY 11.75 billion in total for outpatient illness, planned outpatient, nursing care and hospitalized fee, up by 26.3% year-on-year. (Li Lili)
