et over 100 Olympic slogan suggestions in a single day
The Qingdao Sailing Committee and Qingdao Morning Daily jointly announced a
call for new slogans yesterday to help boost Qingdao's world recognition during
the 2008 Olympic Sailing Competition. Over 100 suggestions were received on the
first day.
Yesterday's flood of suggestions came not only from workers, students, the
media and Qingdao citizens of all walks of life, but also from as far away as
provinces like Guangzhou, Heilongjiang and Jiangxi. Liu Wenhua, from Jiangxi's
Gao'an Normal School went so far as to make 9 different Olympic slogan
suggestions.
The slogan selected for official use will be utilized in the city's Olympic
Sailing City promotional activities and be featured on public service
advertisements along the city's roads as well as in the city's airport and
seaport.

從昨天起，奧帆委和青島早報聯合征集為青島創作的奧帆口號，使2008年奧帆賽時，能讓世界記住青島。在征集活動的第一天，就收到了100多條奧帆口號。
昨天，記者打開郵箱時看到，給青島創作奧運口號的不僅有來自前哨機械廠、青島六十三中學、青島畫報等單位的青島市民，還有許多口號從廣州、黑龍江、江西等地"飛"來，其中江西省高安師范學校教學組劉文華一人就創作了九句奧帆口號。
